Rift Valley Adventures Race 5 Final in Kenya MTB Series '08: Timau
The North Kenya cycling club training ground provides a fantastic backdrop for the final race of the Rift Valley Adventures MTB Series for 2008. The 70km route designed by one of Africas best veteran riders, Peter Viljoen, will challenge all competitors with a mixture of singletrack, downhill, jeep tracks and rocky ascents riding through Lewa, Ngare Ndare forest and the highlands around Timau. The alternative 25km ride, suitable for people of all abilities, families and students will take place around the polo club navigating through rolling hills with views across to the Mathews Range. So get out and ride, race or just get fit and have fun. Simple.

Rift Valley Adventures Race 4 Kenya MTB Series '08: Kevin Payne Cup Results
Download and view the 36 km and 18 km race results.
Winners of the 36 Km race were: Davidson Kamau 1st, with a time of 1.39.54, followed by David Kinjah with 1.39.55 and then Samson Gichuru with 1.43.50. First Vetran was Peter Vitjoen with 1.47.02, followed by Tom Boo with 1.49.28 and then Gerald Osmond with 2.07.08. First lady was Antonia Elwes with 2.16.45, followed by Joan Bisley with 2.22.03 and then Caterina Wolfangle with 2.53.36.
Winners of the 18Km race are Mens Mike Thomas with 1.14.20, Ladies Barbara Payne with 1.22.40, and Juniors Liam Brunner with 1.27.44.
