1 Day in Laponia forest

Get to know the Laponia forests.  This is an introductory course for students who have little or no experience of being in the northern forests of Sweden.
After completion, each student shall:
• Have basic knowledge of orienteering and use of a compass with appropriate maps
• Know how to safely make a fire in varied weather conditions
• Know several useful knots and their use
• Understand the historical and geological development of the forests in northern Sweden
• Have insight in northern birds and animals and can choose appropriate reference material for continual interest and knowledge
