Jacqueline, Kenya
This was a trip that showed me that even I can help other children and how much I have to learn. But what fun we had too.

Suggested 16 Day Trip
Day 1: To Mauritius.
Decide just how much surfing and diving you want to do.Day 2: Ferry to Réunion,
The island’s jagged peaks – our home for the night – loom ever larger. We’ll stay high up in the volcanic cirque, ready for an early morning start.Day 3 – 10: Tour Des Cirques
The tropical mountain air provides the perfect start for a trip that will see us trekking, mountain biking and climbing our way across the island, staying in tents or well-kept mountain cabins. One thousand kilometers of trails, guarantee epic, ever-changing scenery, river pools for cooling dips and fascinating tropical vegetation – a constant source of information from
our guides.
Starting from the Cirque de Mafate – an other-wordly remote location, criss-crossed by gullies and narrow ridges – we’ll use natural spa therapies for aching bodies by dipping in the area’s iron-rich hot springs. After four days we re-charge in Cilao before hitting the Cirque de Salazie and Cirque de Cilaos – the opportunity to slip into wet suits for canyoning. To call the activity a total blast seriously undersells it! We’ll descend steep canyon walls by abseiling down waterfalls surrounded by jungle. The climax comes on the tenth day when we make an early start for the 3,069m summit of Piton de Neiges – the original volcanic crater and highest point on Réunion.
Day 11 – 13: Cycle’n’climb
Mountain biking from the centre to the south of the island, we have a day of spectacular climbing up Piton del la Fournaise – a smouldering, bubbling volcano that last erupted through a tiny crater to the south. A contrast to the island’s lush interior this tortured, barren lava landscape could be the surface of Mars.Day 14-15: Surf School
Ropes and hard hats off, cozzies on – we’re at Réunion’s best surf school on the west coast. With two days to hone your skills and let the sun give you hair radical dude highlights, you’ve plenty of time to get up on the board and down some Indian Ocean tubes.
Day 16: Mauritius
Back to Mauritius to connect with international flights. Alternatively we’ll extend your trip here for more surfing and diving.
This is a suggested programme. We’ll customise it to suit your needs.
