Chiang Dao is a quite town located in an idyllic setting about an hour’s drive north of Chiang Mai. The area is famous for the Chiang Dao Cave, which is Thailand’s largest cave complex extending to 12 km inside the mountain. The area is also home to a number of different hill-tribes and all our groups will experience a little of their unique way of life.
Base at the British-run Chiang Dao Nest Resort on the edge of the town in the shadow of the Doi Chiang Dao mountain range. Accomodation is in bamboo chalets surrounded by lush gardens. Meals are served in the resort’s restaurant.
This is an ideal location for schools looking for a trip which combines advenuture and cultural appreciation in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
