Leaders Wilderness First Aid Course (LWFA)

This 6 day (60+ hour) course is designed to provide specialist First Aid Training for use in Wilderness and Remote locations around East Africa where you are greater than 2 hours away from medical assistance. Leaders Wilderness First Aid is a must for anyone who works, plays or is responsible for others in the outdoors or remote locations.

Who For:

This course is ideally suited to Safari Guides, Lodge Managers, Adventure Outdoor Leaders and Instructors, Naturalists, Teachers, Park Rangers and NGO/Aid Field Staff.

Prerequisites:

To undertake this course, participants should have ideally done our Remote Area First Aid course or an urban first aid certificate. For Example: St John's Senior First Aid, Level 1 or 2 Occupational, Health & Safety, AAR or Red Cross First Aid with a current CPR certificate and be aged 18 years or older.

Course Cost: $290 per person (24000/-). 15% discount for payment in cash.

Course Structure:

This course is generally delivered in a 6 day format. It is an intensive course where we work all 6 days plus three of the nights. There is assessment on day 5 and 6 of the course which consists of a written examination, two practical simulations and a CPR/EAR assessment.
