3 day Kigio Wildlife Conservancy
Kigio Wildlife Conservancy is your base for this fantastic adventure.
Kigio is situated in the Great Rift Valley and occupies 3,500
acres of grassland, mixed Acacia and riverine forest along
4km of the Malewa River. This programme has been designed for
groups that have participated in outdoor education courses
before and for ages 13-16 years. The activities are more demanding
physically and mentally and the students get more involved
in the day to day running of the programme.
Day 1. Arrive on Kigio
1100 Arrive at Kingfisher campsite, camp setup, tent pitching,
orientation of Kigio, small group games.
1230 Lunch. Students to bring lunch.
1400 Team Initiative and Problem Solver Games and Activities
1700 Free time to fish for trout, read, relax or just sit
under a tree.
1800 Dinner.
2000 Keeper of the night game.
2200 Lights out. Day 2. Canoe and Rockclimnb.
0730 Breakfast.
0900 Canoeing on the Malewa River.
1230 Lunch.
1330 Rockclimb at the Amphitheatre.
1700 Arrive back at camp. Free time.
1800 Dinner.
2000 Night walk
2130 Lights out.
Day 3. Nature Walk
0730 Breakfast.
0800 Pack up camp.
0930 Nature walk and Bush Skills session.
1215 Lunch.
1250 Camp clean up.
1330 Pack up and depart for school.
