Field Studies
Suggested Programme
Kenya, with its enormous diversity of ecological
zones, land-uses, flora and fauna is ideal for all your field study
requirements.
The Great Rift Valley for example, contains a wide range of geographical
features, different tribes, abundant wildlife, dense forests
and sweeping plains, volcanoes and river valleys. Also our Kijabe
Conservation
Centre in Laikpia is designed for groups for field studies. You
have the option of staying at Conservation Centres around the
country, all designed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Day 1 To Nairobi
Day 2 Nairobi to Field Study Site
Day 3- 6 Depending on your curriculum requirements we have a variety
of study sites for Geography, Biological Sciences and even Art & Design.
We even supply supporting notes and field study equipment. Your
field studies could include:
- River Transects & vegetation studies
- Mt. Suswa & Mt. Longonot – dormant volcanoes with
lava tube caves
- Hells Gate NP – fantastic water eroded gorges & geothermal
steam vents
- The Great Rift Valley – Rift Valley Adventures is part
of it!
- Animal Evolution and wildlife monitoring
- Archaeology and Palaeontology
- Local Communities and Conservation/Management of Natural Resources
- Slide Shows by local Conservationists and Research Scientists
- Plant biology
In liaison with us you can design a Field Study programme to suit
