What To Pack?
Hat, Suntan Cream and Shirts
We encourage clients to carry their luggage in a medium to large size soft bag. Large, hard suitcases are often difficult to carry in safari vehicles and aircraft with less than 20 seats. It is also important that your bags can be locked and you have a small bag to carry with you during the day containing your personal items you require. Pack small and light, but do not forget those warm clothes for the evenings.
We suggest the following:
• Wind/Water Proof outer layer
• Walking or track pants
• Woolen Jumper or warm fleece jacket
• Warm socks
• Boots/shoes/trainers for walking
• Trainers for walking/around camp
• Sandals
• Sun hat
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen (lots of this)
• Trainers for walking/around camp
• Sandals
• Normal daily clothes
• Water bottle. Be vigilent about drinking clean water.
• Mosquito repelent. Most destinations have bed nets but always check with us that they do.
• Book, magazine or pack of cards - distractions for those waiting around times.
• Binoculars and Mammal or Bird Guide books, perhaps a journal to jot down what you have seen.
Essential Equipment and Clothing
Bear in mind that temperatures vary from month to month, but are not always predictable, you need to pack to allow for cold temperatures. Apart from your main luggage, we recommend that you bring one small back pack to carry personal items such as camera, water, hat, sunscreen, water bottle etc.
