Training Sites

We train at many different sites around the country with Nanyuki and Laikipia being our dedicated bases

Mobile Programme Sites

We have operated programmes around the country and no site is too far for us. If you require in house training we bring it to you. From our Mobile Team Challenge that operates in the confines of your office and surroundings, to resorts around East Africa, we deliver high quality programmes to you, anywhere. Please contact us for your in-house or mobile training needs.

Program Facilitators

Facilitation of the experience is critical for transfer of the learning on and after the course. Design of the programme is a major factor in making facilitation and transfer successful. We always ensure experienced facilitators work with all groups and understand how the design meets the required outcomes. Of all the learning environments, the outdoors has the most number of variable outcomes. Only a trained outdoor facilitator can manage the variables to a positive outcome.

Program Safety

We recognize that safety is the cornerstone of our business and it is not just physical safety but emotional and mental safety as well. We have an outstanding safety record that speaks for itself. We take risk management as utmost priority.

Reflection

Adults learn as much by reflection as by doing. If you do an activity you need an equal amount of time in reflection. This can mean debriefing, solo time, campfire dialogue, walking, drawing, story creation. Creating the space for reflection is critical and can easily be overlooked amongst the action and excitement of the adventure activities.

Hospitality and Service

Our client’s well-being and safety are our paramount concern. When people are not looked after they close down, stop learning and revert to stress behaviours. Far too many outdoor courses adopt a ‘military approach’ and believe this is part of the experience to allow you learn and grow. This is a total fallacy. People must be nurtured into new experiences and be open to new ideas. The challenge experience is then so much more powerful and directed, creating rapid and profound change.

We will do anything to care for our clients and give them the most challenging and memorable programme possible. We want to see them succeed, grow and change through the experience, have fun and laugh.

Program Follow Up

After the completion of a CAT programme we don’t simply let that be the end. Included in the course price is a personal evaluation document for each participant and a follow up session back at the workplace to see how the training has influenced everyday work practices. Certificates will also be presented at this session.
