Training Activities

The tools we use for learning

The activities are the tools we use to achieve the set learning outcomes. Choosing the correct set of tools is the role of a trained adventure facilitator. It is not just about one adventure activity after another in a spectacular environment; rather it is the direction of many variables around group and personal dynamics. Knowing when to challenge and when to nurture a participant’s learning is the skill that sets us apart from traditional training organizations. We use a large range of activities people to a positive outcome. Humour and fun are essential on every programme.

Activities are sequenced in such a way that skills or issues highlighted in a previous activity can be used in the following activities to consolidate and build upon the learning. An observer from your company can be used in an activity to record the happenings and help kick start the debriefs we will conduct throughout the programme.

Some of the activities will be introduced by either fantasy or isomorphic framing. In a fantasy framework, the facilitator weaves a tale of intriguing fairytales and uses imaginary scenarios like giant spiders, nuclear bombs, poison yoghurt and rivers of acid. In an isomorphic framework the  introduction is presented as if it is the reality of your workplace.
