ISK Leadership trip
On the 28th and 29th August we hosted a Leadership Programme for
57 Year 12 students from The International School of Kenya, at
Crater Lake Sanctuary, Lake Naivasha. The main objective was to
experience, develop and instil a variety of leadership styles in
the students to help them in the transition from school to adult
life.
The programme revolved around our unique ‘Trail of
the Ndorobo’ where small groups work towards a common goal
by collecting pieces of a puzzle when participating in 4 different
group initiatives. If good leadership and team skills were demonstrated
or discussed in the small de-briefs afterwards a piece to the puzzle
was awarded. Training Courses
We don’t just offer superb educational adventures to students
we are also the leading Adventure Training company in East and
Central Africa. We train instructors in all outdoor pursuits and

St. Andrew's School S1 Mountain Bike Programme
In September Rift Valley Adventures provided 3 day mountain bike
trips for St. Andrew's School. Starting high up on Eburu Hill
at Greenpark, Naivasha, the students were briefed in safety issues
and bike skills before heading off our front suspension, 21 speed,
Shimano mountain bikes. The first hill is a technical descent
of North Lake Road in Naivasha. The first night we stopped at
the beautiful Crater Lake campsite for a well earned shower.
Day 2 saw us back on the bike making our way through Kongoni
and into Hell's Gate N.P. via the Ol Karia gate. With the geothermal
plants producing clouds of steam with the added smell of sulphur
we quickly made our way to the dramatic and airy abseil into
the gorge. Day 2 camp was in the park and on the final day we
rock climbed all over Fischers Tower . We would like to thank
the St. Andrew's School students and staff for the effort that
they put into make the 3 programmes on the 15-17 th , 22-24 th
and 24 th to 26 th September a huge success. Thank you!
