A thrilling, roaring, spinning ride down the Ewaso Nyiro river. Grade two and three rapids switch to long, open tranquil pools buzzing with wildlife, and then jaw droppingly lovely rocky gorges.

You can spend several days navigating the heart of the Laikipia Plateau. As the river slips in and out of rocky valleys, you never know whether there’ll be an elephant or gazelle drinking around the next bend. After four hours afloat we set up a spectacular camp, crash out around the fire and look up at sky of stars that’s more duvet than blanket.
