Who are Rift Valley Adventures?

Rift Valley Adventurers are set apart by the team's passion for exploration, discovery, and adventure.

Our carefully-designed programmes bring you closer to the culture, wildlife, geography and people of the sites we visit.

Rift Valley Adventures provides expeditions for all ages, but we can unashamedly declare ourselves experts in arranging safe, enjoyable educational trips and adventure safaris for students. Every year we take over 2,000 of them to explore the great outdoors in Kenya, Tanzania, Australia, Egypt, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion and Arctic Scandinavia.

Focusing on the students’ personal, social and educational development, our flexible itineraries and tailor-made expeditions are suitable for 6 to 24-year-olds. All the trips immerse young people in the culture of the host country, challenging them to understand more about themselves and others.

As a founding member of the Association of Adventure Operators with bases in Kenya, Tanzania, Australia, Swedish Lapland and soon to be Madagascar we offer 24-hour safety and monitoring of all groups with expert, highly qualified staff and accommodation in tented camps and eco-lodges.

And that’s just the start of it. We also offer community service trips – you’ll find details of our unique ‘Schools for Communities’ scheme in the Kenya pages – along with conservation and field trips, sports tours, and Duke of Edinburgh Award activities.

We even provide holiday expeditions for pupils whose schools aren’t running trips.  Or families, or couples, a groups of friends, and even corporate events.

And just to complete the circle, we offer unique Gap year challenges, where participants learn about themselves gaining the necessary life skills needed to become a stand out young adult whilst helping save an endangered species or build a classroom for African pupils whose only school facility is the shade of a tree.
